www.bruxx.net is all about encouraging the spread of the roleplaying game hobby. Specifically, the table-top-with-pen-and-paper variety.
The way I have previously engaged new players is through the hobby club I have been known to attend, which is based near Nottingham in the UK. In more recent times, however, I’ve not been able to get along so much… although friends still meet to game with me, every other Friday night, at my place.
This site has evolved.
Originally it was the development site for Alpha RPG. As that project, a bid to develop my own home-grown RPG system, has run-aground on the dual reefs of indecision and time pressures, the site has moved to being a place where I can share my wider RPG concerns.

Bruxx has grown to become a home for our group’s RPG settings and experiences, such as the goings on in Dark Reich.
The site is run and organised by me, The Ubiquitous Rat. To be honest, the various projects are not driven by deadlines or commercial needs, so they have a pace which is for some frustratingly slow. We make no apologies for this. We’re not, after all, trying to set the world alight here.
How can you get involved?
Please have a poke around and read the posts the contributors have made. Add your comments and views, assuming you are willing to be constructive in your criticism. If I like what you’re saying then I might invite you to become a Contributor, assuming you would want such a dubious honour.
The Play’s the Thing
Ultimately, the games are wanting to be played.
When we can play I’ll add our game reports and stories to the site. If you would like to contribute by setting up a group of gamers to play games in our settings, then we’d love for you to let us know, so we can hear your experiences too.
All in all, this is being done for our benefit but we have a small hope that you might like it too.
Game on!

Why bruxx?
“bruxx” is the word we use to describe the noise a rat makes when it’s happy. We’re happy rats!
